The ISR, the World Federation for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (WFUMB) and the World Health Organization (WHO) held a webinar on Safer Maternal and Newborn Care – the Role of Ultrasound on September 14, chaired by Guy Frija (ISR) and Jacques Abramowicz (WFUMB). The webinar was organised in celebration of World Patient Safety Day (WPSD), which is commemorated annually on 17 September, and offered interesting lectures from high-level speakers. Recording available now: ISR-WHO World Tuberculosis Day 2021 symposium

The ISR-WHO Scientific Symposium on Systematic Screening for TB and the Role of Chest Radiography was a huge success. The WHO presented its updated guidelines for TB screening, which now include recommendations on the use of chest radiography and computer-aided detection (CAD) systems. The more than 460 participants from all over the world included radiologists, pulmonologists, radiographers and other related professions.
