Membership Requirements

How to become a member Society

Members of the International Society of Radiology (ISR) are the National Radiological Societies.

Application for membership is sent to the ISR Secretary General, who brings the matter to the ISR Executive Committee for approval.

Membership in the ISR is validated by ISR International Committee, meeting at an International Congress of Radiology (ISR Bylaws, Article IV/1).

When applying for membership, a National Radiological Society is required to give the following information on its activities:

1.- Name and address
2.- List and addresses of officers
3.- Year of foundation
4.- Scope and purposes
5.- Bylaws
6.- Status of society within the national medical organisation
7.- Number of members, defined by category (radiologist, medical physicist, other)
8.- Main activities, such as regular meetings, congresses etc

 

This information, followed by a formal letter of application, should be sent to the Secretary General preferably one year before a meeting of the International Committee.
