The ISR is delighted to announce that we have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the International Radiation Protection Association (IRPA) on promoting the safe use of radiation and to enhance our cooperation in the promotion of high standards of radiation protection.
The MoU highlights the two organizations' commitment to work together on the overall joint goal of the safe use of radiation without compromising on quality, and to facilitate the safe use of radiological practices in health care.
The MoU reflects the ISR’s role as a convener and facilitator, with the ISR educational and quality and safety related missions primarily accomplished through collaborations with other stakeholders and international organizations.
The MoU with IRPA follows an Agreement signed in October this year with the World Federation of Pediatric Imaging (WFPI) on collaboration for scientific and education purposes, with the aim to coordinate efforts in support of the development of pediatric radiology educational material and to maintain an open dialogue between representatives of the two organizations.
A recent milestone in the ISR’s collaboration with international organizations has been the signing of the Practical Arrangements with the IAEA in November, which has brought the longstanding collaboration between the two organizations to a more formal level (read on here).
